Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish, and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Oh wow, it’s still so weird to think that we’re in the second half of 2019. It’s almost, kind of, close to the end of June. That’s so weird! But that just means I get to talk about the books I’m looking forward to in the coming months! Let’s see if I can come up with ten.

The Light At The Bottom Of The World by London Shah

This book sounds really, really cool. While I don’t love going to ocean, I love reading ocean books. Especially about deep exploring and while this might not be exactly that, it sounds like it’s going to be a cool twist on that. Plus, it sounds like it’s going to have some awesome relationships and high stakes plots!

Full Disclosure by Camryn Garrett

This sounds like it’s going to be an amazing and really important book. I really want to read it.

The Guinevere Deception by Kiersten White

I love King Arthur retellings and this one focuses on a female lead. And female anger and a girl taking what she wants. It sounds like it’s going to be an angry book and book that all about the passion that Guinevere has and I cannot wait to read it.

Winterwood by Shea Earnshaw

I haven’t read The Wicked Deep yet, but I know a lot of people love that book and this author’s writing. Plus, I will probably always read wintery book. There’s just something about them that I love.

Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo

I know I say a lot of book sound intriguing, but this book sounds really, really intruging. Plus, the author says it’s really dark and I’m looking forward to see what she means by that. It has ghosts and dark secrets and a main character with an awesome name. I’m looking forward to seeing what I think.

Dangerous Alliance by Jennieke Cohen

This book doesn’t sound like something I would normally read. I’m not usually a fan when there are multiple love interests, and that seems to be the main plot of this book. But, there is something about it that makes me want to give it a try. Vicky sounds like a really fantastic character and this book just sounds really sweet overall!

The Downstairs Girl by Stacey Lee

I love all fairytale retellings and this is a Cinderella one! I can’t believe it wasn’t on my radar sooner. I’m so happy there is finally a non-white retelling. This book sounds like it’s going to be such a great twist on the classic fairytale.

Soul Of Stars by Ashley Poston

I have been looking forward to this book since I finished Heart Of Iron. Heart Of Iron is one of my favorite books. It’s such a fantastic sci-fi and I adore Ashley’s stories. I can’t wait to see Ana and Rob and Jax and Di and everybody else and see where this story goes.

Alright, so I didn’t quite hit ten, but I still think there are some amazing books on this list and that makes up for the couple that I am lacking. And I’m sure there will be more new ones that I discover as they come out! There’s still a lot of amazing books to come out for the rest of the year!

Thank you for reading!

  1. I totally didn’t know about this Queen Guinevere retelling! I’m SO here for that because I almost read Once and Future (I don’t really do scifi) before deciding it’s not for me. But I’m really excited for this now that I know about it!
