I finally read The Bromance Book Club. I have seen so much of this book online, leading up to and after it came out. It seemed like so many people who read romance loved the heck out of it. But, I was reluctant to get into it. I have to be in a very specific mood to read second chance romances. And that’s part of the reason I read Undercover Bromance before this one. Though, since I loved that one so much, I decided to give this one a try.

Alright, I can see why people love this book, this series really, so much. It feels like a hug. This book feels like a hug and warm bread. Undercover Bromance felt like a hug and strawberry lemonade. I know that’s weird, but it’s the truth so I’m sticking with it.

I don’t think I’ll ever rush to a second chance romance, simply because of anixety/how my brain works, but this one does it well. I think that’s because it does emotion well. It was fuzzy, which is how emotion usually is. There’s an undercurrent of problems, with both Thea and Gavin, that they have to work through, both personally and together. They have to dig deeper, into what they’re afraid of, into what they want, and into connecting with each other. This book knows how to do emotions that are hard to figure out and put into words very well. I feel like the sneak up on me in each book, and I have to say that it works. It feels real and that made me love Thea and Gavin all the more.

Speaking of Thea, I was so happy to find out that she had a POV! One of the reasons I stayed away from this book for so long was because I thought it was going to be told completely from Gavin’s POV, but THEA HAS A POV!

Along with Thea and Gavin, the side characters were a highlight for me. It was so cool to see the people I fell in love with in Undercover Bromance in this one! It made me love them, and even understand them, so much more. Plus, the twins were adorable and I love Butter Ball.

I also really liked the book club. It didn’t play as big of a role as I thought it was going to, but I honestly don’t mind that much because of how present it was in Undercover Bromance. It’s weird, the things I didn’t love in Undercover Bromance were done really well here, and the things I didn’t love here, were done really well in Undercover Bromance. It makes it feel like this series is a hodpodge of stuff I love. It’s actually a cool relationship to have with the series!

All in all, I am very happy that I finally decided to read this book. It’s amazingly written to make it feel fluffy and adorable, while also being real and emotional. It was also really cool to see the troubles that couples go through, because couples do go through troubles. But people can also find their way back to each other, because that’s what love is. So yes, I am officially in the loving this series club!
