Some April Books I’m Excited For

Let’s get excited about some books! With everything that’s going on, I thought it would be a cool idea to highlight some books coming out later this month; to show off my excitement and maybe pass on some of that excitement to you! Some of these are going to be books I’ve already read, but am really excited for other people to read, and some of these are going to be ones I haven’t read, but am excited to get to!

The Deck Of Omens by Christine Lynn Herman

Is anybody surprised? This is the sequel to The Devouring Gray, a book I loved to pieces. This is the conclusion to the disaster wood kids’ story and the creepy woods gets creepier and the emotions get more complicated. It’s great!

The Silence Of Bones by June Hur

I absolutely loved this one too. It’s one of the first historical fictions I’ve read and loved. It features a fantastically pieced together mystery and the sweetest main character trying to survive in an unforgiving world. Plus, the writing is spectacular.

Time Of Our Lives by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka

This is one I haven’t read, but am very eager to get to. I know so many people love all the books by these authors, but I actually haven’t read any yet. I know! But I want. And this one sounds really good, with two characters coming together despite wanting different things and I’ve heard it has an awkward, sweet male main character!

Incendiary by Zoraida Córdova

This is another one that has a special place in my heart. It’s a fantastic fantasy that tugs on all your emotions, is full of plot twists that smack you upside the head, and a uniquely fascinating magic system!

The Lucky Ones by Liz Lawson

This is an incredibly raw and real book about the teens who survive school shootings. It’s a hard book to read, but I felt it was completely worth it.

Ghost Squad by Claribel A. Ortega

This is a spooky Middle Grade that I haven’t read yet, but my sister has. And it has her seal of approval! There’s also a cat named Chunk, if you need any more convincing.

And there you have it, some books I’m very much looking forward to coming out this month. I really wish all the books coming out this month and the comings months all the best. I’m grateful for them, and I’m looking forward to hugging them. What are some books coming out in April that you’re excited for?

Thank you for reading!
