Colsten Can’t Wait: Sick Kids In Love by Hannah Moskowitz

Welcome to Colsten Can’t Wait, which is my version of Waiting On Wednesday! Every week, my cat and I pick out an upcoming book we’re looking forward to and highlight it! This week, we picked out Sick Kids In Love.

Synopsis:

Isabel has one rule: no dating.
It’s easier–
It’s safer–
It’s better–
–for the other person.
She’s got issues. She’s got secrets. She’s got rheumatoid arthritis.
But then she meets another sick kid.
He’s got a chronic illness Isabel’s never heard of, something she can’t even pronounce. He understands what it means to be sick. He understands her more than her healthy friends. He understands her more than her own father who’s a doctor.
He’s gorgeous, fun, and foul-mouthed. And totally into her.
Isabel has one rule: no dating.
It’s complicated–
It’s dangerous–
It’s never felt better–
–to consider breaking that rule for him.

This book sounds really, really good. It’s about chronically ill teens falling in love, written by a chronically ill author, and they don’t die. I’m so tired of seeing movies and books where they die in the end and it’s not written well. And its right in their in the synopsis. It’s a fact of their life and they’re just living their lives. It also sounds like it’s going to be a great story. Aleksander sounds amazing and I can’t wait to see how his relationship with Isabel progresses. This also sounds like it’s going to be a really emotional book. As in, the characters are going to have to work through a lot of emotional things and it will probably make me really emotional haha. I’m really looking forward to reading this book.

Sick Kids In Love comes out November 5, 2019! You can add it on Goodreads and pre-order a copy in the meantime.

Thank you for reading!

  1. Okay this sounds really, really, REALLY good – and somehow also very emotional, but I’m 300% here for that, too. Adding this to the TBR for sure, thank you!! 😀
