Yay, I’m glad I’m finally writing another Top Ten Tuesday post! I kind of completely forgot about it last week haha. I’m not sure how this prompt is going to go, since I don’t think I have too many unpopular opinions. But, I’m going to give it a shot!

I don’t love rainbow bookshelves.

I think they are pretty to look at and I enjoy all the photos people take of them, but I’m not sure if I would ever want to do it to my shelves (who knows though haha). All the books in a series would probably be away from each other and I feel like I wouldn’t know where anything is. If you enjoy them, that’s great! I just don’t think they are for me.

Do whatever you want to your books.

I personally don’t dog ear, bend the cover back, highlight, or anything like that to my books, but if people want to do that, that’s completely fine. It’s their book and they should be able to do whatever they want with them.

I don’t quite get the huge hype for sprayed edges.

I do like sprayed edges. I have bought a couple copies and I have done some myself! But I feel like people adore them so much and I don’t quite get it.

I don’t love The Cruel Prince.

I think it is a decent book and a decent series, but I don’t understand the huge hype around it. I think it’s mostly a personal preference than anything being wrong with it though! And I kind of just want to be spoiled for Queen Of Nothing haha.

I enjoy reading unpopular opinions.

I don’t know if this counts as unpopular, but I’m putting it. I enjoy seeing differing opinions and what people think! As long as it doesn’t get nasty, it’s really fun!

I hate One Of Us Is Lying.

It has a disastrous representation of mental health and the sexuality of one character is used as a plot device. It’s an interesting and well written book, but these things ruined it for me.

 

I think I’m going to stop there. I actually got farther along than I thought I was going to! I’m sure I’ll think of more as soon as I post this, but I have decent list!

  1. I completely agree with you on sprayed edges and rainbow book shelves! Wouldn’t a rainbow bookshelf be confusing… If a series had different coloured spines it would mix them up!
