What I Want To Read In June

I can’t believe it’s already June! I don’t think I should think about it too hard, less I freak myself out more than I already have. Still, I want to read books this month! Plus, it’s Pride, so I want to incorporate as many queer books as I can.

Girls Of Storm And Shadow by Natasha Ngan

I am so pumped for this book! It’s the sequel to Girls Of Paper And Fire, which I really, really loved! I can’t wait for more Lei and Wren and more of their anger and setting their world ablaze.

Reverie by Ryan La Sala

This is another queer book that sounds really, really good. It’s all about people’s personal worlds inside their heads, unraveling those, betrayal, and drag queens!

Serpent And Dove by Shelby Mahurin

Ah, I love witchy stories. I’m always drawn to stories with witches, and I’ve heard a lot of good things about this one. It has the fake dating trope taken to the next level. A fake marriage! I’ve also heard that it’s darker and more upper YA, so I’m looking forward to seeing what I think!

Small Town Hearts by Lillie Vale

I’ve been meaning to read this one for awhile. The main character, Babe, is casually bi, which I love! Plus, there’s lots of pastries and it sounds like it’s going to have a lot of other good stuff. This book is a little different than what I normally read, but it sounds awesome enough for me to be willing to give it a shot! Plus, I’m trying to read more books that I wouldn’t usually pick up.

Criers War by Nina Varela

This is a f/f enemies-to-lovers fantasy novel! I cannot wait to read it. I love that more queer fantasy novels are being published. And this one sounds like it’s going to have such a great plot and a great world!

And then there’s all the amazing new books that are coming out in June that I would love to read. Some of these include Wicked Fox, Technically, You Started It, All Eyes On Us, If It Makes You Happy, and Storm And Fury! Who knows if I’ll stick to this list, but it’s still fun to see what I’d like to read!

Thank you for reading!

  1. Crier’s War sounds like my kind of book! I am so happy that there is more LGBTQIA+ books being released in the fantasy genre! ❤
