Colsten Can’t Wait: American Royals by Katherine McGee

Welcome to Colsten Can’t Wait, which is my version of Waiting On Wednesday! Every week, my cat and I pick out an upcoming book to highlight! This week, we picked out American Royals!

Synopsis:

I’m always drawn to royal stories. I don’t know what it is about them, but they always sound amazing. From the synopsis, this almost sounds like an adult novel, but it’s actually YA! It also sounds really, really complicated. In a good way. I think there are four main characters and they all have their own relationships and their own way they want to move through life and where they want to be. I’m looking forward to seeing how everything plays out haha. It also sounds like a really great alternate world! I’m not always sure how I’ll like a differently imagined modern world, but this one sounds really good and really interesting. The monarchy sounds really, really cool. I’ve never been a fan of love triangles before, and it definitely looks like this book is going to have one. But, I’m willing to give it a shot!
