Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Deserve To Be Adapted For The Screen

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

I know I’m doing a Top Ten Tuesday and it’s not Tuesday, but I liked this prompt, but wasn’t able to post this on Tuesday, so I’m doing it now! There are so many books I’d love to see become movies or TV shows, and this is just a few!

Nocturna by Maya Motayne

This world is incredible. I think it would be amazing to see the magic system play out on screen. The characters are amazing and the plot is dark and brutal.

Furyborn by Claire Legrand

Since Game Of Thrones is ending, here is a fantastic book to adapt that would take the place very well. I personally think it even surpasses it. The world is so expansive and the characters are so messy and so real.

Descendant Of The Crane by Joan He

This is another one that could take the place of Game Of Thrones very easily and that I think is better than it. It’s so twisty and amazing.

Interment by Samira Ahmed

I haven’t even read this one yet and I know it would make an incredible movie. Even from the synopsis, it sounds so incredibly powerful and necessary.

Daughter Of The Pirate King by Tricia Levenseller

This would make a really fun TV show or movie. It’s not too heavy and it’s moves really fast. I think a lot of people would love the pirate aspect and it would be so cool to see the ships and the costumes.

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

This is another one that would be really, really fun to see an adaptation of. It’s apologetically flashy and it doesn’t try to be anything other than it is. I would love to see the dresses, the scenery, and the magic.

The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi

This would be so cool. The characters really drive this story and it would be awesome to see them on screen. The magic is really lush and the setting is gorgeous.

Strange The Dreamer by Laini Taylor

I’m actually really surprised that an adaptation of this hasn’t already been made. It’s so popular and has so much potential. It’s an absolutely incredible book and it’d make a great adaptation.

Sawkill Girls by Claire Legrand

Ahhh, this would be amazing as a TV show. It’s creepy, has queer characters, and it would make a terrifying adaption in the best way.

22544764

Uprooted by  Naomi Novik

I love this book and I think it would make a great movie or TV show, though I think it would be really hard to get right. Despite that, I think I would be willing to take the chance for a good adaptation!

And there are so many more! There are so many books that would make great adaptations if they were done right.

Thank you for reading!
