Reader Problems Book Tag

I was in the mood for a short and sweet post today and this tag seems to be filled with easy, yet interesting questions! I’m not sure the original creator of this tag is, but all credit to them!

You have 20,000 books on your TBR, how do you decide what to read next?

My mood. I’m a huge mood reader and that’s basically how I decide how to pick up all my books. It can get frustrating when I have ARCs I need to review or I have no idea what I want to read though.

You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you put it down or are you committed?

Ooooh, it depends! If I hate pretty much everything about it, I’ll put it down. But, if there’s a few things I’m really enjoying, I’ll try to tough it out. Also, halfway is pretty far and I’ll probably be more inclined to keep going than if I wasn’t so far in.

The end of the year is coming and you’re behind on your reading challenge. Do you try to catch up? And if so, how?

I actually don’t set a reading challenge! I just read however many books I do. It personally just causes me unnecessary stress and I’d rather think about all the good books I’ve read in a vague sense than focusing on the number of books I’ve read.

The covers of a series you love do not match, how do you cope?

I’m not sure if this bothers me. I haven’t put too much thought into it, probably because I don’t want to find out if it does bother me haha. So, for now I just ignore it and focus on how the differences compliment each other!

Everyone and their mother loves a book that you do not. Who do you bond with over your shared feelings?

I dunno! I’d probably just sit with my opinions. Everybody can have their own! And if I see someone who shares mine, I can talk to them about it!

You’re reading a book in public and you’re about to start crying. How do you deal?

I don’t really read in public, so I haven’t had to deal with this yet.

The sequel to a book you loved just came out but you’ve forgotten a lot of what happens. Are you going to reread it?

Probably not haha. I don’t reread as much as I would like to. I’ll just be confused until I get re-orientated in the world.

You do not want anyone to borrow your books, how do you politely say no when someone asks?

Ahhh, probably say I’m really sorry, but the book means too much to me to lend and feel really bad about it. Or I will just let them borrow it haha.

You have picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over this reading slump?

Either keep trying different books or try to get to the end of one.

There are so many books coming out that you are dying to read. How many do you end up buying?

As many as I can! I usually try to stick to the ones I super, super looking forward to, but that doesn’t always work out.

After you purchase all of these books that you’re dying to read, how long do they sit on your shelf before you read them?

Um, pretty long and I think I’ll keep the exact answer to myself haha.

It’s nice to do tags that are just questions! I like adding in pictures, but it can also be soothing to just answer questions. Also, feel free to tag yourself if you’d like to do any of the tags you see me do! I’m so used to just doing tags that I find interesting that I forget I’m supposed to tag people haha.

Thank you for reading!
