Top Ten Tuesday: The First Ten Books I’ve Reviewed

img_4039

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish that now has a new home at That Artsy Reader Girl.

Wooo, I’m not sure if I’m ready to cringe at my old reviews. I mean, I kind of want to, but I’m not sure if I’m ready. I thought I was going to have to take some of the earliest ones on my blog since I don’t remember reviewing a ton in the brief stretch of time I used Goodreads when I was 12. But I actually think I’ll have enough from there! I’m not going to be linking them, cause they are cringy and kinda embarrassing, but you could probably find them on my Goodreads if you really wanted too haha. I’m not sure which order these are going to be in, since the list formatting was kind of weird.

Middle Ground by Katie Kacvinsky

I don’t remember much about this series, other than I really, really enjoyed the first two and then I spoiled myself for an aspect of the third one and I did not like where it went. I never ended up reading it. I know this is a dystopian  type book where technology is better than ever and is very much ingrained in everyone’s lives. There’s some emotional suppressant plots in there too.

Shadow And Bone by Leigh Bardugo

Oh my gosh, my review is a mix of hilarious and really embarrassing. Since I read it when I was so young, I don’t think I appreciated certain aspects of this book. I don’t know if I would like it as much if I read it now, but I definitely think it would be a different experience.

Siege And Storm by Leigh Bardugo

Haha, my review for this one if just two words. My progress thoughts just make me laugh. I was really in love with Mal. I hated The Darkling from the very beginning.

United We Spy by Ally Carter

Oh, I loved these books! The covers are so cute and so clever. I think these were some of the first books I wanted to have multiple copies of because of different covers that I really liked. Another short review, with progress thoughts that are funny and cringey at the same time.

The House Of Hades by Rick Riordan

I think this was one of the first books I waited a long time for! I was so pumped to get it and it read it. I didn’t write a long review or many progress thoughts, but it was basically me wanting the next book haha.

Never Fade by Alexandra Braken

Wow, I was really full of angst after this book, but that’s understandble. I still love this series a lot and I loved reading it so much.

The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa

Here’s another one that I loved reading! It was really bloody, which is something I wasn’t used to. I didn’t quite know what to say in my reviews, so they’re really short. I basically just said I liked this one when it hit a certain part haha.

The Eternity Cure by Julie Kagawa

I don’t even know what I think of this one, since I didn’t really write anything. I just wanted the next book haha. I don’t remember how much I liked this one, but I know I did enjoy reading it.

Allegiant by Veronica Roth

I fell into the hype for this one. I think even as I read it, I realized that. It was a good book, but I don’t think I overally loved it. In my review, I was just sobbing over the ending.

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Oh, I didn’t love this one, but I did enjoy reading it. I liked it enough to finish the whole series. I thought it was similar to Twilight, but it had more stuff going on. I’m not sure if I would like it if I read it now.

Could you feel me laughing and cringey through the screen throughout this entire post? Cause that’s basically what it is haha. It’s weird reading what I wrote! I thought I wasn’t going to have enough reviews from there, but I actually didn’t get through all of them, which is cool. If you do go looking for these reviews, I hope they make you laugh at least a little bit haha.

Thank you for reading!

  1. I love that you reviewed the Ally Carter books on your blog!! The Gallagher Girl series was one of my faves because I loved the catchy titles, and the plot was definitely super interesting 🙂 LOLOL I can definitely relate to you cringing at this post because that’s also how I feel when I read my old reviews! Still, this was a really fun tag, and I enjoyed seeing what you first reviewed ❤

  2. Omg yes, I cringed so hard at myself while writing my TTT post because omg my old reviews were so bad. At least you wrote yours when you were 12, mine were from last year! 😆 But it was fun seeing what books you first reviewed 😊 Though I am low key questioning your sanity if you were actually in love with Mal?? Like, uhhhh, he was literally so boring, how??? 😂😂 Honestly, though, I hated the Darkling too. And Alina actually. I hated all of them. I didn’t like Shadow and Bone 😆
