Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018!
This one is going to be harder for me. I’m not huge on travel right now. I’m an intense introvert and definietly a homebody. While I think seeing different parts of the world would be incredible, it just seems like so much effort to make it happen. So, when reading books, I apprciate the setting, but I never imagine wanting to visit. Though, I’m going to try and come up with some places I’d like to go!
1. Weep
I know this place has a lot of sadness around it, at least at the end of Strange The Dreamer (I haven’t read Muse yet!). But I’m fascinated by this city and I think it would be cool to explore.
2. The Great Library
I loved this setting. And if I’m there that means I can take a look at some of the grimoires!
3. Magic Castle Playland
While this amusement part is kind of falling apart, I think it would be fun to visit and just walk around. There’s a lot of love for it in the book and I’d like to take part in that!
4. Hong Kong
Bustling cities kinda fill me with dread and even reading about them can make me feel a little clasuorphobic. But this book made it seem really awesome, so maybe I’d like to give it a try!
5. Anywhere in this world
This world is so big and so expansive and I would love to see any part of it.
6. Versailles
I really liked reading about this in Enchantée and I think I’d like to see a least a small part of it.
7. The Riverlands
I’ve talked a lot about how much I loved these rivers and the boats and it was so calming to me, even when Caro was being attacked haha.
8. Caraval
I’m taking a look at the pretty dresses and then leaving. I think anything more than that would be a lot of sensory overload.
9. New Reynes
While I’m not sure I’d make the best lord or that I’d be happy in a gang (maybe Enne’s girl gang in King Of Fools), I’d love to visit this city and just get a feel for it.
10. Carolinia
I know this isn’t the happiest or best place to be. But the world-building in this book is really strong and I think I’d like to see it in person! Just for a little bit though.
I’m surprised I was able to get to 10! I’m not sure if this was supposed to be actual real life places, but I would definitely love to visit some fictional ones!
Thank you for reading!
Totally besides the point, but I love the little sword at the top of your page!
I would also love to go to caraval! But I don’t know if I could stay there for a long time as well!

Haha, thank you! And I think I would get so overwhelmed so quickly, even though there seems like there would be so much cool stuff there!
