Book Blogger Confusion Tag

Oh yeah, another tag and it’s a confusion one. And since I was confused about what post I wanted to make, this is great! (It was more like I couldn’t figure out an idea and I wanted to do a tag and I stumbled across this one and I really like it.)

Which book, most recently, did you not finish?

Hmmm, I’m not sure. I’ve recently started starting books, getting interested in something else, putting the book down, but actually wanting to come back to it. I think the last one that I solidly DNFed was Again, But Better. It was so cheesy and so unrealistic in terms of dialogue and how things were presented. It just wasn’t for me. (And I’m not sure, but You’d Be Mine not be for me either. I’m going to really give it a shot though!)

Which book is your guilty pleasure?

I try not to think as anything as a guilty pleasure. What I like it what I like.

Which book do you love to hate?

*coughs in Fallen was really, really bad*

Which book would you throw into the sea?

One Of Us Is Lying 100%. I’ve talked before about the absouetly horrible mental health portryal and how a queer character’s sexuality is used as a plot point and I don’t want to go into a whole rant (maybe I’ll make a whole post about that). I guess I can understand why it’s so hyped up. The writing and storytelling is enjoyable, I just don’t understand why there seems to have never been a conversation about how it holds such bad things?

Which book have you read the most?

I don’t tend to reread books a lot. I think I’ve reread Harry Potter and Percy Jackson once. But, I’m pretty sure I’ve Amulet, a graphic novel series, a couple of times!

Which book would you hate to receive as a present?

One of the thoroughly problematic books that everybody is floored got published. (The Black Witch, The Continent etc.)

Which book could you not live without?

OH HERE’S MY CHANCE TO YELL ABOUT DESCENDANT OF THE CRANE, THE DEVOURING GRAY, WILDER GIRLS, FURYBORN, KINGSBANE, HEART OF IRON, AND A CURSE SO DARK AND LONELY. They are all so, so amazing.

Which book made you the angriest?

I’m not sure. If a book is making me angry, I’m more likely to stop reading it. So, it doesn’t stick in my memory too easily since I don’t finish it!

Which book made you cry the most?

I actually don’t know! I don’t tend to sob outright with books, but I do shed tears here and there.

Which book cover do you hate the most?

I’m trying to be better about hating covers! I personally believe it’s about taste and something I hate, somebody might love. And sometimes the ones I don’t love reflect the story pretty well!

I feel like I could have answered every one of these questions with “I don’t know”, so I guess it is aptly named. Or a least my brain was on board with the whole confusion thing haha.
