Wooo, another book tag! I love tropes and I love tags, so I thought this would be a good one to do! This tag was originally created by Jes Reads Books on Youtube!

Hopelessly Devoted: Name two characters from separate series that you ship!

I haven’t actually thought of this before! I don’t think I would like to ship characters from different books, since they would be so different, with different circumstances and different worlds. Plus, there would be no way for them to ever actually become a reality, so I’m not sure if I would want that longing haha.

Damsel In Distress: Name a female MC who didn’t need a man to complete her

Alright, I’m going to say Damsel cause I think I’m clever. But that book is all about shattering that female stereotype and showing harsh truths and terrible realities. It’s extremely intense and not an easy read. Ama definitely does not need a man to completely her.

 Love at first sight: name your OTP

UM, I can’t just choose one! There are so many solid couples with amazing relationships that I love and want them to live happy lives! So… all the good, healthy relationships?

 Mental Illness As A Quirk: Name a book that represented mental illness well

Hooray, I get to shout about The Art Of French Kissing more! I truly saw myself in the anxiety representation of this book. It was absolutely incredible. Starfish is also another one that is very, very true to what anxiety is really like.

The Chosen One: name a main character that did (or almost did) ruin a series for you

A lot of the characters in Caraval walk a fine line with me. I feel like if a few things were different, I wouldn’t like them at all. There’s also the whole Legend thing, which I’m not the biggest fan of. And I’m not sure what Scarlett is at the end of Legendary. I am waiting until after Finale to see how it all plays out before I get really frusterated.

Friends to Lovers: name a duo that went from friendship goals to relationship goals

AH I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. So I am of course blanking on every book I’ve ever read with this trope. (I would not mind at all if you left me recommendations eee!)

Amnesia: name a book you would forget for one reason or another

Oh, there was this one random book I read a really long time ago, I don’t even remember the title (haha I guess I’m already on the way to forgetting it) and it was pretty fatphobic and I just didn’t like it at all. Also, I would love to forget Fallen or if not that one, then at least the ending of Tormet cause WHAT WAS THAT. And maybe Winterspell too. I didn’t like that one at all, but I feel like maybe if I went into it again I would like it?

Bad Boys: name your favorite villain

Malachiasz Czechowicz from Wicked Saints. I… don’t know if he’s a villain? This book is basically a morally gray snowstorm, so who knows!

 Missing Parents or Adults: name a book that could have benefited from a bit of parental guidance or adult supervision.

While I would like to see more present parents in books, I don’t miss the ones that aren’t there too much. I feel like their absence is almost always explained in a way that makes sense and just lets me focus on what’s happening in front of me. I also tend to ignore the gaping hole where they would be haha.

That was a fun tag! I feel like most books can be stronger with at least one trope thrown in there, even if it is a little cheesy.
