Since there so many books come out all the time and I haven’t perfected my art of reading by osmosis, there are a few books I really want to read that aren’t even on my shelf yet! For this post, I’m sticking to already released books. Upcoming 2019s I’m looking forward will have it’s separate space in the future!
Mirage by Somaiya Daud
I’ve been wanting to read this one for awhile. It sounds like a really diverse, really awesome fantasy. I am all for doppelgänger princesses and falling in love with castles and royal life when a character thought they would hate it. And of course the danger that lurks beneath the surface, because that’s always fun.
A Room Away From The Wolves by Nova Ren Suma
I wasn’t sure about this one for awhile and I’m still a little wary, it just doesn’t seem like something I would normally read, but I do want to give it a shot. It sounds like it will be a story about female camaraderie and the mysterious and dangerous Catherine House sounds really awesome.
Heretics Anonymous by Katie Henry
This is another one that I wasn’t sure about. But I’m a little more cofindent in going into books I don’t think I would like. I think this one will be really cool in exploring religion, friendship, and finding yourself.
Queen Of Air And Darkness by Cassandra Clare
I haven’t finished Lord Of Shadows (no spoilers please!), but I’m feeling the itch to start again. I’ve thought that the Shadowhunter world has just gotten too confusing and convoluted for me, but everybody’s excitement is a little contagious. I don’t know when I will continue this series, but I definitely want to now!
You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone by Rachel Lynn Solomon
I’m not quite sure if this one counts, since I did buy it for my mom to give to me for Christmas, but it’s not techincally on my shelf yet? But I am really pumped to read it. I really, really liked Our Year Of Maybe and I really want more of Rachel’s writing. SO I’M PUTTING IT.
It was actually easier to come up with contemporaries for this than fantasies, which is surprising since I tend to read for fantasies than contemporaries. Nevertheless, I am hoping to get these books and read them soon!
Thank you for reading!
