Colsten Can’t Wait: Wicked Saints by Emily A. Duncan

Welcome to Colsten Can’t Wait, my version of Waiting on Wednesday! Every week me and my cat pick out an upcoming book to highlight and gush over! I’ve been waiting until the cover was revealed for Wicked Saints before we featured it, but the cover is finally here (and it’s stunning)!

A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself. A prince in danger must decide who to trust. A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings. Together, they must assassinate the king and stop the war. In a centuries-long war where beauty and brutality meet, their three paths entwine in a shadowy world of spilled blood and mysterious saints, where a forbidden romance threatens to tip the scales between dark and light.

Wicked Saints is a Joan of Arc fantasy novel that pretty much everybody is gushing about. I’m not sure if the above is the official synopsis and there’s actually very little else known about it. But from what I have heard, it sounds freaking awesome. Alcoholic princes, goth boys with melodramatic attitudes and girls with daggers. Yes please, I would like to read ASAP. There is also magic, a girl who can talk to the gods, a mad king, and characters that are gray and awesome and amazing. Beauty and brutality meeting sounds like a collision I want to see. I want to learn these character’s secrets. I want to learn all about this world. This book sounds like it’s going to be something else and I cannot wait to experience that.

Wicked Saints comes out April 2nd, 2019. You can add it on Goodreads and pre-order a copy in the meantime!

Thank you for reading!
