To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before: Movie Review

I am the biggest fan of fluffy, overly sweet, romantic books and movies. While I might not have loved the book, I think I read it when I was too young, I was still super excited to watch To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before. It seemed like such a great, solid movie. And I was not disappointed.

This movie is so cute and so fluffy, but still manages to have so much good stuff packed into it. The family relationships were amazing. I loved the sister relationship between Lara Jean, Margo, and Kitty. I loved the talk about being scared of things happening in real life and having someone who you can talk about real stuff with.

Alright, my favorite part would probably have to be Kitty. She was the cutest freaking thing I have ever seen. She was so funny and so real and so so cute. She honestly felt like she jumped right off the page, from what I can remember and I could honestly watch a movie of Kitty just going about normal life.

Lara Jean has captured my heart. She really has. She was so freaking sweet it was insane. I loved her relationship with pretty much everyone and it was so fun to see her and Peter fake-date!

I didn’t like Peter in the books, I’m sorry, but it’s true. But throughout the film, he really grew on me. He really was such a cool and caring guy. And he seemed like an actual teenager, which is honestly rare. I think it’s really awesome that he did seem his age!

I know everybody wanted the sequels to be made, but I was honestly hesitant. I kinda wanted everything to be wrapped up in a nice bow and leave it at that. But I want more. I want the sequels and I want to see everything. This movie was so awesome and it would be one of the best things ever to see MORE MOVIES!!!!!!!

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is now streaming on Netflix (you can watch it as many times as you like!) and I definitely recommend checking it out and join everyone in hoping for the sequels!

Thank you for reading!

  1. I was the opposite. Loved the book..movie not as much.

I think they did a great job with casting, but some of the major parts of the book were missing 😦

Glad you loved the movie though!! A lot of others did too!

      1. well..unfortunately, the scenes that I thought were missing was really the relationship between Peter and Lara Jean, and the events that lead up to them developing real feelings for each other.
        😦

      2. I know! That’s where I was disappointed, cause it was so cute and gush worthy in the book 😭. It’s all good though. The movie was still pretty cute and I enjoyed it. I just didn’t love it like i did with crazy rich asians. 😜 hope what ever series you start next is a good and memorable one ❤
