What I Want to Read in August

When I think about the fact that it’s August, all I can really do is nervously laugh. Besides that fact that this year is already halfway over, there are lots of books that I want to read this month! I actually got to a good number of the ones from July and it was really fun to put together, so I’m pretty sure I’ll make this a monthly post! I can show what I want to read and books that I’m excited about this month! Woohoo!

These Rebel Waves by Sara Raasch

I’ve been excited to this one for months! I’m so excited that it’s finally coming out. It sounds like one of the pirate/ocean books that I might like!

Damsel by Elana K. Arnold

Three cheers for twisty fairytales! I’m looking forward to seeing what this one’s all about. It does deal with a lot of heavy topics, so I’m going to wait and see if I’m in the right head space sometime this month!

Seafire by Natalie C. Parker

For as much as I say I hate the ocean, I do want to read a lot of ocean books. but Seafire sounds amazing, filled with fierce females and sisterhood. I can’t wait!

City of Ghosts by Victoria Shawb

I’ve heard that this one is a quick, but dark read. And that fits with my mood perfectly right now. I’ve been wanting to get to this one for awhile and nowish feels like the perfect time!

Those are just some of the books I would like to read this month. Some others include Sawkill Girls, Never-Contended Things, #MurderTrending, Vicious, City of Brass, and Stranger the Dreamer. Another month where I over-shoot what I want to read, haha. Let’s see how it goes!

Thank you for reading!
