I always loving reading posts about series or books people won’t finish, so I decide to make one myself! Here are some series that I probably won’t finish.
Fallen by Lauren Kate
Ah, Fallen. This was probably the first series I ever hated with a passion. Just… it was kind of all over the place and GOSH the main character made some bad decisions. For some reason, I read the first two books, but I won’t be reading the rest unless I decide I want to suffer.
Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
Here’s one that I might go back and finish in time. I read Heir of Fire and thoroughly enjoyed it, but I never got the chance to read Queen of Shadows. And now I just don’t feel like reading on. I think I’d have to re-read the first three to remember fully and I just don’t know if I want to do that. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see!
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas
This one depends. I have read the three books that are currently out and loved them. But I just, don’t want more conflict? I feel like Feyre and Rhys’s story is completed and I know the other characters have more to say and do… but I just don’t want three more books.
The Young Elites by Marie Lu
I read the first two books and didn’t love them. These books simply aren’t for me and I just don’t want to continue.
The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepard
I read this one a reeeeaaallly long time ago. I wasn’t a fan, but the concept was so interesting that I wanted to like it so much. I just didn’t. Again, it simply wasn’t for me.
The Raven Cycle by Maggie Steifvater
I’ve tried to get into this book twice and I simply couldn’t. I found it incredibly boring and I found the writing really slow. I know this one is so highly praised I might give it another shot sometime, but I’m not sure.
If you loved these books, that’s great! I’m really glad you enjoyed them! They just weren’t for me and I have nothing against them.
Thank you for reading and I hoped you enjoyed!
Oh God, not finishing Fallen is a great choice. When I was younger I thought that I had to finish a series even if I hated it. Which meant I did my first hate reads with that series 😂 great post!

Oh, I did that with so many series and I feel so bad for my past self for putting me though that. 😂 And thank you!

I agree with you with Fallen – it was just so boring, I can’t even think about reading the other ones.
With TOG, I would honestly continue. Books 4 & 5 are really good, and it picks up speed fast! =)
As to ACOTAR continuing with another 3 books, people – including me – are mostly reading because they miss Feyre and Rhys and the Inner Circle, but if we get another like ACOFAS I honestly think there won’t be a lot of people reading it…
Great post! Loved the idea!

Oooohh, I’ll probably pick to the remaining TOG books then! I probably won’t get to them for a bit so I hopefully won’t have to wait for the last one!
And thank you so much!

I only read the first of the ACOTAR series and wasn’t really thrilled by it. Do you think it gets better?

I’m surprised to see the Raven Boys on this list. I haven’t read it but I’ve only ever seen praise for it! Interesting to see another perspective 🙂

Many people do love it with a passion! I feel like people either hate it or love it.
